Prosser Pines County Park (Island of the East). The only attraction here is the oldest forest of white pine from Long Island, but this is enough to captivate your dog during your adventure here.

Shadmoor State Park (Montauk). You will see nothing but sky above in this walk through the dense scrub of beach, but first time your dog to walk the cliffs on the open Atlantic Ocean.

HIKING BEST BEACH WITH YOUR DOG:
Fire Island National Seashore (Shirley). Otis Pike Wilderness Area is open to your dog after Labor Day seven miles of walking the sandy beach, and behind the dunes.

Better Half HOUR walk your dog:
Walking Dunes, Hither Hills State Park (East Hampton). This loop moves andaround 3/4-mile sand dunes 80 feet high, stirring last ghost forests buried in the quicksand.

MOST historical walk with your dog:
Camp Hero State Park (Montauk). War of Independence, when it was used as a practice field artillery, the military Cold War Hero Camp welcomed the State Ensemble.

BEST PLACE IN THE CIRCLE a lake with your dog:
Belmont Park State Lake (Babylon). War of the immortal racehorse Man O 'is developed to take the easy way around the central lake of the park.

The best place to get lost in the woods with your dog:
Edgewood Oak Brush Plains Reserve (Deer Park). There is no need to stick to a road predetermined on a walk with your dog around the grounds of a former hospital.

BEST VIEW place for walking and other dogs:
Gardiner Park County (west end of the bay). There is no reason to come to this park with a maze of footpaths in the Great South Bay without a dog. Not many do.
