Love God with everything you have and love your neighbor as yourself (cf. Mk. 12:29-31) are the two main commandments for Christian growth. So do not be in both the left field somewhere, the Word of God teaches us in John 14:15 that the way to show your love for God is to obey His commandments. Therefore, love God must include the following:

1. Receive the Word of God. You can not love God if you do not know. The best way to know most is the study of prayer, speech, and we strive to obey. Imagine saying that the love of her gentle heart, but do not spend time reading his letters or talk to him (This is not a good boy - smile). This is similar to that which claims to love God, but never passes the time of prayerful reading of the Word of God.
