Sermon England

Moody Gold is a compilation of research produced by the well-known publisher of New Zealand evangelist Ray Comfort (who currently live in States). This book offers a brief history of life's Dwight Lyman Moody, his achievements, including photographs and some of his famous sermons and appointments. It is easy to read and an inspiration for young evangelicals like me.

Dwight Moody was born into a family of nine people on February 5 1837 in Northfield, Massachusetts, USA. His father was a small farmer provided and mason, but unfortunately, he was also an alcoholic who died at age 41, when Moody was only four years left old.2 a widow with seven children and twins on the road. To make matters worse when he left a large mortgage and not a single penny. The creditors came and took almost all of the Moody family property, including firewood. Sometimes children were so cold that the only way to keep warm is to stay fully clothed in bed until time to go to his uncle school.3 Moody's has finally come to the rescue, and helped the family cope Moody. As they were now in charge of the whole family attended the uncle unity of the church. Moody went to Sunday school and became a worker for the other children on a Sunday.4

Two persons in particular that influenced the lives of Moody's is Edward Kimball and Mr. Enrique Varela. Kimball was the Sunday school teacher at Mount Vernon Church, Moody attended in his youth, while working in a shoe store. During a meeting at the church, Kimball decided Moody to speak about Christ. It was Saturday, April 21, 1855, when Kimball was at the shoe store where Moody worked, and found him in a fitness new shoes. He came and told him about Jesus Christ Moody. Moody has dedicated his life to Christ on the spot. 5 years later, when Moody was his first visit in England, heard the words that changed her life and sent him on a journey in search of a deep relationship with Christ. These words were spoken by Enrique Varela, a famous evangelist. They were: "The world has yet seen what God will do with and for aa man who is totally cord dedicated to him. "Moody wanted 6 to be that man, and I think it was.

Moody did not have much education. Failure to attend school beyond the fifth year, I could not write and his grammar is horrible. His manners were quite bold and raw, and never became an ordained minister, 7, but history shows that God uses many of Moody to reach the lost. All goes to show that anything can be used by God for great things.

There have been many major incidents in the life of Moody's, but I will only focus on a revival of England. Moody went to England in 1872 to learn more about the Bible, had no intention of meetings, while there, but just spent studying the Bible and the visit of Charles Spurgeon. Accepted an invitation to speak at a service of morning and afternoon on the Plaza de Arundel Congregational Church in North London. The Holy Spirit seemed to fall into the congregation and after the interrogation room was full of people who seek salvation. Then he moved to Dublin in Ireland only to be called back to the church in North London to continue their meetings. He remained there for ten days and four people were added to the church, before returning to welcome the United States. 8

Later, he was invited to England by two friends. He insists on paying for your trip. He waited until the money arrives, but in vain, so he borrowed enough to travel. Upon arrival, he learned that his two friends were dead. All doors seemed closed, but then came the call YMCA York to preach to the youth there. Mr. Moody and Mr. Sankey Ira, gospel singer who traveled with Moody, began a series of meetings in York, which lasted five weeks. Meetings grown and the place was full half an hour before the services begin. In England, Moody and Sankey hymn-book, published their first time. Moody has been around England preaching the good news. Many were saved. Renaissance England hit as it did in the time Wesley and Whitefield.

Very bad mood encouraged his followers to missions abroad, especially after he met with Hudson Taylor, pioneer missions in China. He established Bible Institute in Chicago, now the Bible Institute Moody and universities now Northfield School. He saw the need for books of hymns and Christian books at a price accessible to all and has established its own printing, publishing is now Moody Press. His legacy continues today.

This book inspired me to reach and winning lost souls to Christ. I won a grand vision, that God can use anyone to do their jobs more incredible. No need to go to college Biblical or obtain a doctorate in theology, all we need is a willing heart and a zeal for souls lost.

"God does not seek no vessels of gold and not looking for the money, but they must be clean. "9-DLMoody
