The comparison of life today with life at the time of David is not so different from everyone. If we have tolerated such acts committed by a modern head of state, say, the United States or Canada? Do we forgive a leader like him, as God had done? Do we have the right head of state to continue to lead the country? Do we have allowed David to remain in the lineage of Christ, God has allowed, if we had a choice?
I know it is not easy, simply because we can not control the inner motivations of others and how true repentance is. But this is not the only challenge we face, we do not know how to get beyond our prejudices own heart and snake blood led another. How many people continue to closely watch the news every night, when only good news would be served? Our sinful nature a party to the degradation of others, because it feeds the ego.
