Once again I am amazed by the accuracy of the Word of God, saying: "The last shall be first and first shall be last" (Luke 13:30).
The Barbary Powers Conflict "began shortly after the Revolutionary War and continued through the presidencies of Washington, Adams, Jefferson and the Muslim Barbary powers Madison.1 (Tunis, Morocco, Algiers, Tripoli, and Turkey) are rebelling against what they claim to be Christians "Nations (England, France, Spain, Denmark and USA). In 1801, Tripoli declared war against the United States, 2 in America is the first official war established as an independent nation. It is interesting to note that our first war as a nation was against Islamic militants. Two hundred years later we face the same enemy. Fortunately this time our military is prepared and ready. Let's learn from history, but lest we repeat.
Throughout this long conflict, the five powers defended Berber regularly attack American merchant vessels. Not only were easy prey for their expenses, but the Barbary powers have also been seized and enslaving "Christian" seamen3 in retaliation for what has been done for them by the Christians "of previous centuries (eg, the Crusades and Ferdinand and Isabella, expulsion Muslims Granada4).
I apologize to Muslims for past violations of human rights committed against them by the "Christians" not acting like Christ, but were more likely to serve the imperial Roman Church was heresy. It was the Church of Rome which led to the Middle Ages, because the Bible was not translated into the language of the common man. Therefore, ignorance and spiritual darkness reigned, as religious leaders who have not the Holy Spirit to reveal the heart of Christ for them.
In an attempt to secure the release of captured sailors and guaranteed delivery in peace in the Mediterranean, President Washington dispatched envoys to negotiate treaties with the Barbary nations.5 (with the same time, encourage American shipbuilding warships6 defend and cope with shipment of Barbary "pirates" - a serious plan, not pursued until President John Adams established a Department the Navy in 1798.)
Let us now deal with Islamist enemies do not act inhumanly as the Roman church. Jesus encourages us to love and pray for our enemies. This gives our enemies a chance to repent, reform, and reconciliation. On the other, in regard to the military struggle, we we rise to the challenge and not cower to threats by Muslim militants and violence. Islam is intolerant and violent because spiritually impotent.
Jesus Christ came to establish his reign in the heart of men, not to war on a political kingdom on earth. However, when is necessary to defend against intruders and hostile Muslim murderers who also misuse and distort their own Roman Catholic religion during the Middle Ages, for Christians.
In truth there is nothing new under the sun, once again history repeats itself as we approach the beginning the end.
